Winter Fair is back!

Winter Fair December 2nd
Winter fair is back at Cody on December 2nd, from 10am to 2pm.
You can purchase wristbands on SchoolCashOnline at a discounted price of $30 until November 29th:

Wristbands will be available for sale at the door on the day of the event for $40.
Individual tickets are $1 and can be purchased in advance on SchoolCashOnline for easy pick-up or at the door on the day of the event. Tickets required for attractions vary and range from 2 to 5 tickets each.

FSA Meeting November 15th
FSA Meeting – Wednesday November 15 @ 6:30 PM –The next FSA meeting will be a virtual meeting. One agenda item will be discussion and approval of the 2023-2024 budget. FSA Proposed Budget 2023-2024
Photo Re-take November 8th
Photo re-take will be at November 8t.
If you would like your child to have a photo re-take, please complete this online digital Photo Retake Form so that we can alert both the homeroom teacher and most importantly, the Edge Imaging Staff of the request.
The Cody Howl (November 4th)
The Cody Howl will be tomorrow November 4th. It is at the Cody Gym, entrance will be Door 4, from 8 pm to 1 am.

The Cody Howl is back!
Come let loose with your fellow Cody parents for a night of drinking, dancing, and good times! Wing Night (the band) will be back and playing all your favorite 90s hip-hop and R&B, cold drinks, and good nibblies. You can also bid on unique silent auction items at the event.

Time: 8pm to 1am
Where: The Cody Gym. Enter at Door 4
Who: All Cody parents!
Dress: Casual / what you’d wear to a bar on a weekend
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR IS HERE!
Students are invited to bring money to spend on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Please place money in a bag/ziploc with the name of the student and BOOK FAIR. This helps in case of misplaced or lost money.

FSA Meeting Wednesday October 11th
- There will be an FSA meeting in the school library on 11th October at 18:30an overview of the role of the FSA;
- presenting and voting on the 2023-24 budget;
- Voting on FSA members;
- Update on Thorncliffe Park Public School and Cody’s support;
- Update on Playground initiative;
- Update Library initiative; Plus
- other FSA topics that you (the Parents and Caregivers!) have submitted through contactfsa@mauricecody.ca.
Terry Fox Run-Thursday October 5th
Our 20th annual walk/run for the Terry Fox Foundation will be held, in the afternoon on Thursday October 5th.
- Students in Grs. 1, 2 & 3 will walk around the Maurice Cody block (we will not cross any streets) from 1:10-1:40pm
- Students in Grs. 4 & 5 will walk/run the same route from 2:00-2:35pm
- Our route will be supervised by parent volunteers
Curriculum Night-Thursday September 28th, 2023
This school year, Meet the Teacher/Curriculum Night will take place at school. Rotary teachers will also be available throughout the evening in their classrooms. Here is the program of the evening.

Fall Extra-Curriculars: To date the following sports activities will take place: Cross Country Running and Soccer– More information to follow.
The choirs will begin at the end of September.
-Primary Choir for Grade 2 or 3 students will begin on Wednesday, September 27th at 8am (Atrium)
-Junior Choir for Grades 4 and 5 will begin Thursday September 28th at 8 am (Atrium)
