A Note from Our Principal, Rob Hochberg
I am proud to be the Principal of Maurice Cody Public School.
As a student I attended elementary and secondary school in the TDSB. I started my career as a Grade 6 teacher at Elia Middle School, in the former North York Board of Education. Working as a Homeroom, and Special Education Teacher at two other schools prior to being promoted to Vice Principal at Ogden Public School, in the heart of downtown Toronto. After working as a Vice Principal for close to 5 years, I was promoted to Principal at 20th Street School in New Toronto. I spent my last 5 years as Principal at Runnymede Jr. & Sr. PS in the Bloor West Village Neighborhood.
Throughout my 10th years as a Principal in the TDSB, I have had a variety of experiences. I have had the opportunity to work with students from a wide cross section of communities. Over these years, I have learned that all students will succeed when supported by caring adults and kind peers.
I believe in the strength of public education and developing strong partnerships with school communities. To support students, we need to work together to provide learning opportunities, develop 21st century learners, and advance citizenship skills that will help students succeed as they become young adults.
