This was sent to our admin just before 9am:
SURPRISE! Could you please read the following message over the PA system 9:00 AM to be heard by faculty, staff, and students! Thank you.
“The Maurice Cody parent community is here, standing outside the doors of this incredible school, to celebrate all of the exceptional teachers and staff. Thank you for keeping our children safe, for making school fun and for continuing to provide an incredible education. At this moment, we would like the teachers and staff to listen, and look out their windows as possible – the bells, claps, and cheers that you hear are for you. Maurice Cody students, please stand up, along with the parents standing outside, and show your appreciation for your incredible teachers by clapping and cheering.”

For the Love of Reading – April 2016

As part of our Outreach Program, two of our Cody classes met with two Thorncliffe Park classes this past Monday and together selected new dual language books for the Thorncliffe Park library. All the students had a great time pairing up with a buddy from the other school and getting to know more about the different languages. The students wrote both of their names on a star that will be placed on the inside cover of one of the new books. Ms. Williams, the teacher librarian told the students, “You will be a part of our dual language library forever.” It was a wonderful morning and we look forward to hosting our new buddies, one day in June.
